From Abandonment to Action: A Mobile-First NGO Redesign
How Strategic UX Logic transformed a fragmented donation flow into a trustworthy, high-conversion experience.
SEO/BirdLife’s individual funding accounted for less than 3% of their budget. A confusing, non-responsive donation process was causing massive “on-the-go” donor drop-off.
I conducted in-depth interviews across Spain to identify the friction. We replaced data-intensive forms with “one-tap” express payments and simplified the Information Architecture to favor mobile micro-donations.
By integrating high-contrast visual hierarchies and clear impact-signaling, we turned a “cold” transaction into an emotional connection, ensuring users felt the weight of their contribution.
The Outcome
Metric: Significantly reduced abandonment rates via Express Checkout integration.
Accessibility: Achieved AAA contrast standards for universal donor inclusivity.
Strategy: Shifted the focus from “Generic NGO” to a Trust-Led Digital Identity.
